Welcome to Bumblebees and Honeybees - Nursery classes.
Our overarching theme for this term is 'Traditional Tales'.
During this half term we will be focusing on the story 'Once upon a fairy tale'. This will give us the opportunity to explore a variety of traditional tales whilst also encouraging us to create our own stories! Alongside this, each week we will be learning about certain traditional tales, including The Ugly Duckling, The Gingerbread Man and Cinderella.
In additon to this, the children will be learning 2 new rhymes each week - one will relate to our maths focus while the other will be a rhyme to support the children's literacy skills. The children will bring copies of these home each week and we would love them to be shared with your family!
Everyday the Bumblebees children participate in a 'Healthy Movers' sessions. These are held in the school hall and involve the children practising movement in a variety of fun and exciting ways. This is always a highlight of the children's day and is a great way of developing independence when taking off and putting back on our shoes and socks.
We use Tapestry to share your child's learning with you and to share class messages so please ensure that you log in regularly.
